Can yEd generate the Line Graph of a graph?

Can yEd replace nodes with edges and vice versa as per described here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Line_graph ?

This transformation is a basic operation in graph theory.

Unfortunately, yEd cannot create a line graph from an existing diagram.

If developing a custom application is an option for you, take a look at the yFiles diagramming library upon which yEd is build. With yFiles, it is easy to create the line graph for a given graph.
