X and Y coordinates not working when importing from .xls

Question

I'm importing data from a .xls file using properties mapping in the importing process and all characteristics are being applied fine but X and Y coordinates. I know I'm doing right because when I apply the very same properties mapping after importing it works. Is it a bug?

Without your spreadsheet, your Excel Import settings, and the property mapper configurations you use it is impossible to answer your question. (I would have to be able to reproduce your import to be able to determine if it works as intended.)
