Moving nodes with keyboard arrows

+59 votes
It would be usefull if nodes could be moved with the keyboard arrows, for example as in Photoshop and Office products. Pixel-by-pixel-based movement as in Photoshop would maybe not make sense to vector-based plotting, but then some kind of rule-based as in Office products.

Yes, that would be great! I was a bit disappointed that clicking and dragging was the only way to move nodes (it seems rather, you know, Mac-centric). Moving selections with the arrow keys is standard behaviour in every other graphics program I've used... Just saying!

I agree. It would make sense perhaps if arrow keys are used with ctrl or alt or shift? And would move by grid spacing.

This is a dupe of http://yed.yworks.com/support/qa/307/use-numeric-keypad-to-move

Perhaps the votes here could be added to that feature request?

PS: I think this request has a better subject line :-)

Edit: Corrected link.
This looks like an extremely useful suggestion and gets my vote. But it was make over 3 years ago. Has there been any feedback from the developers?
Just posting here so I receive e-mail updates. This would be an incredibly useful feature!
