Using Visio stecils VSSX as symbols?

There is an article in the manual with describes the usage of "Microsoft Visio XML "(*.vsx, *.vdx)".

I have some stencils (VSSX), but no Visio. Can I use the shapes from VSSX too?

Unfortunately, yEd's stencil import cannot handle the newer VSSX format.
