Where is the import dialog?

I've been searching the manual for everything regarding importing Excel but I cannot find the "import dialogue."

Please where do I find it?

Importing an Excel file (.xls/.xlsx) can be done in the normal open file dialog. Just select the Excel file format in the dropdown list in that dialog.
