Could a Windows Forms Control be used as a node?

0 votes
Hello

I am considering building a Windows Forms application that requires showing Windows Forms Controls such as ListBox or DataGrid (with data) and draw lines between them. Such controls would be "nodes" in the diagram.

Is this possible?

Thank you.

This forum is for yEd questions only. For questions regarding one of the yFiles programming libraries, please contact yWorks support by mail. (Please include your yWorks customer or evaluator ID in your mail when doing so.)

Well, my question is about Yed Graph Editor. If this is not the correct place to ask, I would appreciate it if  you could provide me with another forum url. I have not yest acquired the tool, so I have no license number as of now. Thank you.

Your question started with "I am considering building a Windows Forms application [...]". How is this in any way related to yEd? yEd is a finished application you may use to create diagrams. Moreover, yEd is not a Windows Forms application but a Java application.

On the other hand, you may use the yFiles programming libraries for building Windows Forms application.

Thank you for the clarification.
