Can I draw multiple edges simultaneously?

+1 vote
Say I want to draw edges from single “parent” node to several different “child” ones. All edges are to be the same — e.g. all pointing to the childs.

Is there a way to mass-select all child nodes and draw all the edges to them (from that single parent node) simultaneously?

Unfortunately, that is currently not possible in yEd.

The closest you can get to this behavior is by selecting all the child nodes, using "Edit" -> "Add Child" (or CTRL+W), selecting the new edges, and choosing "Tools" -> "Reverse Selected Edges". However, this approach will create a new parent node!

That was pretty neat!

Thanks, problem is solved. I had to manually reassign the already drawn edges from the old parent to new one, but other then that it worked just great.

p.s. There is a minor question though: to reverse the edges I had to cut the needed segment out into a new file, apply the “Selecting all Elements of a Kind” (http://yed.yworks.com/support/qa/41/how-do-i-select-elements-in-a-diagram) method there and then re-cut and re-paste it back to the main file. Was I doing it right or there is a shorter algorithm for achieving that?
You could have selected one edge first, and then used either SHIFT+click or SHIFT+drag to select additional edges.
Thank you very much, the question is expired.
