How to set a default font size for labels?

Is it possible to set a default font size for labels so that I do not have to change it from 12 down to 10 for every single label?

Select one label, then use CTRL+A to select all labels. Now you can change the font size for all labels in one go.

Aside from that copy/duplicate labeltext and label format explains how to define default settings for labels. Unfortunately, that is fairly cumbersome.
