Node context menu: Convert to label is disabled

0 votes
Hi,  I want to place free floating labels on my graph and the yEd manual suggests that one can convert a node to a label.  However, I find that for any node I place on my graph this menu item is disabled. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for your help

There seems to have been a misunderstanding. yEd does not support free floating text. Free text has to be "faked" by creating a (simple rectangular) node with some text and its "Fill Color" and "Line Color" set to "No Color".

The "Convert to Label" option converts a node into a label of another node. To use it, you have to move the node you want convert into a label over the node that should hold the new label.
