Centering node icons

0 votes
I have a node with a centered label.  When I add an icon (e.g. the pre-packaged green circle) to the node the label is left justified.  I cannot make it center any more when the icon is there.  I would like them either centered or with the icon above or below the label but still centered, not left justified.

You can adjust the position of the icon in relation of the text in the label's "Icon Properties". Clicking "Icon Properties" in the properties view will open a dialog with several options. Use "Use Horizontal Text Position" and Vertical Text Position" for this:

Corresponding GraphML.

Alternatively, use two separate labels - one with only an icon and one with only text. This way you are totally free to place the icon and the text.
