How to make custom properties for nodes that span all documents

0 votes
Hello,

I am trying to make a custom property for nodes that its value is mapped to the shape's fill color.

My problem is that while my Property Mapper configurations remain after I create a new document, the custom property does not...

Can you provide any insight as to what I am doing wrong?

Thank you.

Custom properties are stored per diagram/document in yEd. By default, new documents do not have custom properties.

The only workaround I can think of is creating custom properties in an empty document, saving the empty document, and instead of using yEd's "File" -> "New" action (or CTRL+N) always loading the previously created empty document.

Thank you for your answer. Perhaps I should make a feature request then because it seems natural to store both property mappings and custom properties at an application level.
