Access rights?

Question

Is it possible to implement access rights for files, to prevent accidentally chages from other users?

Or implement a password restriction?

To be honest, we currently have no plans to create a new file format that supports password protection for yEd.

The easiest way to prevent other users from changing your files is storing your files in a place those other users cannot access - all modern operating systems offer access rights. Moreover, instead of sharing GraphML files, you could share only SVG or PDF files which (even though editable) are much harder to change.
