GUI is too tiny on high resolution screens. I could not find an option to rescale the GUI to be more manageable on my laptop. Please advise.

You need to run yEd on Java 9 or Java 10 to get support for display scaling. The simplest way to do that is by using one of the installers with embedded Java 10 runtime environment.

Please note, the support for display scaling is not a yEd feature but a feature of the Java runtime environment and the operating system. Thus there are no settings in yEd for activating or deactivating support for display scaling.
