Zoom always goes to view "Fit Content" after layouting

0 votes
When working on large graphs and, for example, perfoming a "Selection (Partial)" layout - the view always moves to "Fit content". Is there a way to keep it focused to where one was to begin with?

Cheers

Yes, there is. See "File" -> "Preferences", tab "Modules", option "Morph Layout Behavior". Changing the value from "Fit Content" to "Keep Focus" will result in the desired behavior. This setting changes the behavior for layout algorithms, though.

Ah thanks - I'd been through the preferences a zillion times, but that escaped me...
That was jumping the gun - still moves to full view, with a slight difference that now it keeps zoomed in on the selected items but only for the duration of "Morph Duration (ms)" (while doing some calculations).

Well, yEd might move the viewport, but it does not change the zoom level - at least it does not do so for me with the latest yEd 3.18.1.

Which version of yEd are you using (see "Help" -> "About")?
On which operating system are you running yEd?
What version of Java are you running yEd on (see "Help" -> "About")?

Same problem here, using yEd 3.19 on a MacBook Pro (macOS Mojave 10.14.4), bundled Java 10.0.2 64bit

Thanks a lot! Great work, by the way.

P.S.: I just tested all Layouters. The problem only exists for the BPMN-Layouter I used. All others (including Swimlane etc) work fine!
