Whithin a BPMN diagram why it's not possible to connect a subprocess activity and an annotation by an association?

Question

On a BPMN diagram:

After dragging the association tool from the pallette to a subprozess activity icon it's not possibe to draw the association line.

I would like to draw the association to an annotation symbol like I can do for a normal process task activity.

Please explain in more detail what you are trying to do, because simply connecting a subprocess to an annotation works for me:

Hello,

thank you for your reply. What you are showing was exactly what I want to do. But it did not work in my version of yEd (3.18.1) on Linux.

Today I tried again and now it works. And I can't say why. Seems that it was the right time to stop working yesterday. ;-)
