How to limit bends with Hierarchical layout ?

Hi,

I noticed the Hierarchical layout generate useless bends. Is there an option to limit bends ?

What version of yEd and what exact settings are you using for Hierarchic Layout? With default settings except for "General - Orientation" set to "Left to Right" I get the second, desired result not the first, undesired one.
