can I rescale distance between nodes after a flowchart is done?

What if I want to nodes to be away from each other further after I finished laying them down with a prechosen distance?

You can try increasing the "Minimum Node Distance" in the flowchart layout algorithm settings and running the algorithm once more.
Another alternative would be to try "Tools" -> "Geometric Transformations" with "Operation" set to "Scale".
