I wanted to create a timeline using the "Fat Arrow" shape node, as shown below.

 

I would be happy to create that diagram with or without gaps between nodes, as shown above.

 

I want the x-axis dimension (length?) of the arrow to reflect the time duration.

But the problem is that as sooin as the length of the arrow is changed, its angle at the head+tail ends changes. Then these arrows do not fit each other, and the entire diagram looks ugly (look how the last two arrows mismatch in the figure below).

Desired: Regardless of the length of the arrow, its head and tail must retain their shapes.
