Dynamically adjust the node size to fit the second label (text box) in ER node

0 votes

I have made an argument map to visualize a court verdict. In this, I have used ER nodes.

These nodes are very convenient for my purpose: In the top compartment, I enter the party's name, and in the bottom compartment, I have replaced the attributes text with claim.

In some cases, the text of the claim is very long, and it spills over the bottom edge of the node, as shown below.

Node with two compartments and two labels, where second label has long text

  1. Is there some way where the node keeps elongating automatically when the text grows?
  2. If that is not possible, is there a manual way to adjust the height of the node to accommodate the long text?

I tried, but But yEd seems to be working only on the first label (which is located in the top compartment).

I experimented further, and found that if there are multiple nodes of this type, the text in each node must be wrapped separately (node-by-node).  We cannot select all nodes and then change the properties.

This is very tedious.

Re:

This is not correct. It is always possible to change properties of several elements at once. However, it is only possible for those properties that are available for all selected elements.
E.g. let us assume you select a shape node and an entity relationship node. It is not possible to change the shape node's "Shape" property because the entity node does not have such a property, but it is possible to change e.g. the fill color for both nodes at once.

That said, it is indeed not possible to change the properties of all second or third or fourth node labels by selecting nodes. However, it is possible to do so by selecting all second or third or fourth node labels. You may select all second or third or fourth node labels using "Tools" -> "Select Elements".
