How can I change the size of the symbols in my custom palette section?

+1 vote
The symbol size is good when I place one on my diagrams. But, the images in the palette section of the palette manager are too small to easily distinguish between similar symbols or read the symbols label.

Also, I'd like to be able to sort or just manually position the symbols within the section.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to adjust the size of style templates in the palette. However, it is possible to assign tool tip texts to those templates which should help with distinguishing different templates.
To assign tool tip texts to templates, use the following approach:

  1. Right-click the palette section in question to open its context menu.
  2. Choose "Convert to Document".
  3. In the editor area, select an element corresponding to a style template.
  4. Set its "Palette ToolTip" property to the desired tool tip text.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each element corresponding to a style template.
  6. Open the palette section context menu once more.
  7. Choose "Adopt from Document".

Re-ordering palette section entries works similar to the above:

  1. Convert to Document.
  2. Change the order of the elements in the editor area as desired.
  3. Adopt from Doument.
