How can I lay out nodes according to edge value AND length (i.e. minimise total sum of edge value x length)

I wish to form groups of survey question-items (nodes) based on their correlation coefficients (edge values. I can read these into yEd from Excel, no problem, but seem to be limited to node layout prioritised by number of connections to node (and not their value).

This is very similar to the machine layout problem in industrial facility layout.
