Error using FamilyTree layout: "Family Tree Layout expects a family tree ...". Can I get more error detail like where?

Moreover, "Help" -> "Example Graphs" -> "Layout" -> "familytree.graphmlz" is an example graph that satisfies the family tree requirements.

The excel file is a proper tree. In further testing I found that importing the excel using the configuration file I modified is producing the error. The original unmodified configuration file works fine. I will review the configuration file requirements to debug the error. Thanks.
