I want to manually change the colour of the nodes in my network to four different colours, how do I do this?

I have a network which I have arranged in the shape I want it, but I now want to colour-code the nodes to reflect four different characteristics. Nodes of the same colour won't necessarily be next to each other. How can I do this?

Click on any one node whose color you wish to change. Then press and hold SHIFT and click on any additional nodes you want to have the same color as the first node. Once all nodes for a given color are selected, use the properties view in yEd's lower right corner to set property "Fill Color" to the desired color.

Alternatively, use yEd's "Select Elements" tool to select multiple nodes based on a given criterion.
