How can I save settings as a new default?

0 votes
I like to have my lines and line-label positioning/coloring a certain way. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find a way to save these as new defaults for future drawings. This results in having to select all, then go through the changes, only to edit each new line and label as I edit drawings.

Does anyone know of a way to select all properties in a current drawing, then save the settings for all future items?

It's not possible to change the styles that are predefined in yEd but you can add changed symbols and edges to a new section of the palette. Then, you can select any of these items as default by double-clicking or with the respective command of its right-click context menu. This is described in more detail in the help page about the Palette in the yEd manual, in particular in the lower part.
