Data description for swimlanes possible?

0 votes
Hi

I have quite a huge process flowchart designed and put it into quite many swimlanes. When moving to the far right of the flowchart I cannot tell anymore in which swimlane I am in since the label of the swimlane is only seen at the beginning of the sheet. A solution would be to deposit a data description in the properties of the swimlane if possible. Would appreciate your help

Thank you

Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to specify any additional data such as secondary descriptions for swimlanes in table nodes.

I am afraid, as it stands there is no way to keep track of what swimlane you are in for large table nodes.

Thank you Thomas for your quick answer. Is it maybe possible to place multiple text boxes in the swimlanes to follow through the swimlane?

Cheers

Now that you ask - yes, it is indeed using a little trick:

If you want to add an additional row label, add a new row instead. Edit the new row's label as required. Then select the new row label (and only this row label) using CTRL+left click. Drag the selected label into the old row for which you need a new label. (yEd should display wireframe boxes of possible positions once you start dragging the row label.) Remove the new row. Repeat for each additional row label.

Step 3: Selecting the row label of the new row

Step 4: Dragging the selected label into the old row

The same approach works for columns.
