How to close print preview

0 votes
Esc doesn't do it. There's no OK or Close button. Alt+F4 is the only thing that works, surely that's not how it is supposed to work.

Also, initial nodes show at top left of design canvas. Print preview shows them centered on page. Very unintuitive so far.

The print preview may be closed using the close button from your window decorations. On Windows, that is the small X on the upper right corner of the window frame. On Mac OSX, it is the small red dot with an X in the upper left corner. On Linux, it depends on your window manager.

The placement of your diagram in the print preview (and thus on the printout) can be configured using the print preview's "Settings" dialog. E.g. disabling option "Print Centered" will align your diagram to the upper left corner of your chosen paper's printable region.

On linux (cinnamon) there is no such button. Luckily alt+f4 only closes the preview window, but be sure to save before doing a preview nonetheless.
