Make all nodes into a single circle, without considering connections?

I'm making a character relationship map for my book, and I would like all nodes (characters) to be in one large circle with all the connections going through the middle. Is this possible? I've been messing with settings for a while and it doesn't seem that I can do that without deleting all connections, which I did initially, but I can't add a character to the circle and have it stay even.
