Expanded BPMN Task Activity Group should stay in its swimlane

Hi,

I've  found a problem if you have a Task Activity Group in a swimlane.

If you close the group in a swimlane and run the BMPN layout then lane shrinks to the size of the nodes.

Then open the group, if it is deeper than the swimlane it moves the nodes into the next lane. So if you run the BMPN Layout nodes will organised in the wrong swimlane.

This is, somehow, the intended behavior and not related to this specific symbol. Neither regular symbols nor groups do stick to their swimlane on any user interaction. For example, it is possible to move nodes freely between lanes and it is even perfectly fine for groups to stretch multiple lanes.

However, I can see your point.

Ok, thanks for the quick response. Maybe a nice to have would be an preference to keep groups in a swimlane.
