Gravity Factor in Interactive Organic Layout?

0 votes
Hello everyone,

I am using yFiles for Java 3.* and am playing around with the organic layouts right now.

I have graphs that contain a couple of unconnected groups and was able to produce a nice layout, where the groups are not too far from each other with the Classic Organic Layout.

Now, if I want to remove and add nodes on the fly this should not completely recalculate the whole layout - so I switched to the Interactive Organic Layout and it works pretty well.

The only downside is, that I get a very "streched out" layout, since the separate groups and also single nodes are quite far away from each other. Would it be possible to add and additional gravity factor to the layout algorithm, similar to the Classic Organic Layout?

Or are there options to configure the Interactive Layout a bit better that I am missing out? I tried playing around with the available options for the layout but I did not really help.

Cheers,
Björn
