Can newly-created notes be auto selected?

When I create a new node, it is not automatically selected - so if I hit F2 to edit, or drag to move, of course, the wrong thing happens!

Is there an option to ensure that a newly-created node is automatically selected? I can't find one!

In "File" -> "Preferences", tab "Editor" enable option "Select Dropped Node/Edge" and create nodes by dragging the appropriate template from the palette into the editor.
