hi

i'm importing a GEDCOM file. yEd asks me for male/female color, but does NOT ask me for male/female shape.

How to Set Gender Shape Automatically, either during or after import?

It is currently not possible to specify different shapes based on gender during import.

It is possible to change shapes after import though. To do that, open the "Current Elements" palette section and right-click the template that represents the nodes you want to change. From the template's context menu choose "Select Matching Elements". Now find the desired shape template in yEd's palette, right-click the template to open its context menu, and choose "Apply Type".
