How can I reference GraphMLViewer.js in sub-diagrams?

When I use URLs to reference a sub-diagram the file is found, but it is shown as pure XML file! How can I achieve that the file is opened with the GraphMLViewer (as the main diagram)?
related to an answer for: Is it possible to have hierarchical diagrams with sub diagrams that contain more detail?

You need to reference the corresponding HTML file instead of the GraphML file.
