Unable to edit in latest 64-bit Windows 10 version

0 votes
I just got a new Win10 laptop and was setting up 64-bit yEd (v.3.18.0.2) on it, something I have done on my previous laptops. This time when I started it, I could not get it edit. I click to create a node; nothing happens. Toggle edit mode on and off, no good. Open an existing diagram and try to edit that. Layout algorithms work but I can't add a node. Help!

By default, you need to drag templates from yEd's palette into the editor area to create nodes.

If you want to be able to create nodes by background click, you need to enable the corresponding setting, see "File" -> "Preferences", tab "Editor", option "Create Node on Background Click".
