Swimlane columns not shrinking

Question

I have a swimlane diagram, and when I hit layout, the nodes move, but the columns don't shrink. They remain at the same width, and I have to manually make them smaller.

Changing the setting to shrink to text doesn't make a difference.

If you are using "Layout" -> "Swimlane" -> "Hierarchic" go to tab "Swimlanes" and make sure option "Compact Swimlanes" is enabled. If this option is not enabled, swimlanes may only grow but not shrink.
