Can nodes be linked to external files / documents?

Can nodes in the flow be link to external documents (ODT, DOC, etc.)? I am looking for a way to outline complex books and work directly in the flowchart to (re)organize the books structure.

Yes, nodes can be linked to external documents using the URL property.

However, changes in a yEd diagram will in no way affect any documents linked to nodes via the URL property.
