Single left click doesn't place node

I can't place a node with a singe left click. Drag and drop is working though.

What's causing this?

I've installed yEd-3.17.2_with-JRE_64-bit_setup.exe on a PC with Windows 10 Enterprise, 64-bit operating system.

Never had this problem before.

See "File" -> "Preferences", tab "Editor", option "Create Node on Background Click". Said option has to be enabled for the desired behavior.
