Convert normal node to group node.

Question

Converting/replacing normal nodes to/from group nodes.

As a comment in (<http://yed.yworks.com/support/qa/898/how-can-change-the-node-type-without-losing-the-connections>) mentions that this is one exception of the solution in (<http://yed.yworks.com/support/qa/27>).

Aside from a feature request, what's the current best manual workaround (to make sure none of the connections were missed, and to maintain some of the fomatting)?

I do not think there is any way in yEd to change a normal node into a group node.

As of yEd 3.17 it is possible to use "Apply" and "Apply Type" from the context menu of the palette templates to change normal nodes to group nodes (and vice versa).
